Heritage Trees in Kuala Lumpur Lake Garden

Kuala Lumpur Lake Garden was constructed by A.R. Venning in 1888. It is also known as Taman Tasik Perdana. Soon it will be upgraded to a botanical park.

Many of us have visited the lake garden at least once, especially for those who born or live in Kuala Lumpur. If you haven't visit the garden, it will be nice to take a stroll and spend some quality time with your love one in this 'heritage' garden.

There are some mature trees planted in the garden which I wanted to showcase here. In Singapore, the national parks board have created awareness on their heritage trees. I guessed it is wise for us to learn about our heritage trees. Here is the list of heritage trees in the lake garden.

2. Sea Coconut / Asian Palmyra Palm(Borassus flabellifer)
3. Brazil Nut Tree
4. Eucalyptus (Eucalyptus deglupta)
5. Terminalia calamansai
6. Kapok (Ceiba pentandra)
